Ghostbusters reboot cast announced

Your new Ghostbusters are....

Kristen Wiig
Melissa McCarthy
Kate McKinnon
Leslie Jones

http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/entry/view/id/903196

Just knew McCarthy and Wiig would be in this...****ing kill me now.

How long until Kevin Hart is announced as Slimer?

InChiefsHeaven 01-27-2015 04:58 PM

This will officially suck.

Hammock Parties 01-27-2015 04:58 PM

No movie with Melissa McCarthy in it is worth watching it. St. Vincent is the only exception because Bill Murray was shitting on her in every scene.

This ****ing sucks. Having one or two female ghostbusters would be fine but making the whole cast female? **** that. ****ing liberal feminzai progressive bullshit.

In the real world women don't even care about ghosts. And if they did they'd ****ing run to a man to solve that kind of problem.

Only one I don't care for is McCarthy. Bill Murray gave his blessing for Wiig to do it. Should be pretty fun. I am in.

Pointless remake

I do like the talent Involved, I just think they could be doing better things with their talent.

Hammock Parties 01-27-2015 04:59 PM

The only way I can see this succeeding is if the original ghostbusters are ghosts in it.

Old movie franchises keep getting remade because of our bullshit copyright laws. Studios lose rights to franchises after so much franchise inactivity, so we keep getting reboots so that any potential future revenue doesn't go to some other studio (or, God forbid, the public domain).

So if this is the system that we HAVE to have, I'm at least glad that awesome women are increasingly being cast in lead roles in these reboots.

Gosh damn it. They keep shoving McCarthy down our throats. :cuss:

kcxiv 01-27-2015 06:15 PM

:(, this makes me sad. A chick or 2 in the crew is ok, but all female? NOOOOO... maybe they pull it off, but no confidence in that.

I don't understand your "lol wut" comment. The video you linked to is about how disappointing U.S. copyright law is, primarily because of how long it takes for property to enter the public domain. That isn't at odds with my post.

Better than Seth Rogen, Michael Cera and James Franco...

I think copyrights should last forever.

Thankfully, I won't be alive when the Beatles and Stones catalogs hit public domain.

Seeing corporations promote their junk with free Beatles music would make me endlessly puke.

Bridesmaids was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. This does not fill me with hope when it comes to re-envisioning of one of my favorite childhood films.
