Would love him as our owner. We’d certainly win.

Not to mention the entire Hunt family was born with a silver spoon shoved up their ass. Kids like that really have to grind for success.

At least Lamar took risks and tried to be his own man. That took balls to start a league to compete against the NFL. It did happen right at the right time though with black players out there just starting to be considered to be drafted and signed. He hire men to get out and scout and recruit from the black colleges.

Lamar gets some credit. He earned a lot of what he had.

I don't have time, but it would be interesting to see the football success rate of owners that earned their fortune vs. the owners that had their wealth handed to them.

It's certainly not a given that he'd be able to translate it to football, but he has a long history of squeezing productivity out of people. I could see some optimism that he'd find ways to wring every last drop of ability out of his staff and, indirectly, players.

And he’d presumably not be afraid to operate in the gray area re: Cheatriots.

Snyder is a disaster and he has tons of money. Robert Kraft has tons of money but run his team like he's poor, he has a dynasty.

Money helps but you can't really buy wins in the NFL like in some other sports.

I mean, doesn't that apply to all billionaires? And I don't buy that an owner would really change a lot in a staff. All they can do is hope to hire guys that can do the job well. After that I'd prefer the owner to be hands off for the most part.

PAChiefsGuy 11-11-2019 07:26 PM

I think it'd be cool to see Bezos as an owner. He's a nerd but a pretty ruthless guy. He runs Amazon like BB runs the Pats. Very little emotion w decisions, looks at the bottom line then decides what he wants to do based on that.

He's got the money to buy a team so he might as well do it if it interests him.
