I like it for following the cool stuff people do or pictures they post, especially since I don't live anywhere near where I am from it helps me keep in touch to see what my old friends are doing and access to setting something back up with them when I go home.

What gets old is the people who post 2-3 status updates a day about absolutely nothing or are always complaining. I probably post 1-2 status updates every few weeks and pictures maybe once a month.
