Early Afternoon Bullshit: Who's planning to attend the playoff game?

Granted, nothing is set in stone yet as far as positioning is concerned, but who's thinking of making a trip to see the Wild Card game?

Per cdcox, we're around 96% to end up the 5th seed, and Indy is 88% to finish as the 4th seed. I've already booked a room in both Indy and Cincinnati, just to make sure I'm covered - and to get something booked before prices rise even further.

After doing some research, you can plan on spending a pretty penny in Indy - downtown hotels are obnoxiously expensive - $150 and up for Saturday night. Only way to stay cheap is to stay 6-7 miles away out by the airport and drive in on gameday. Cincinnati is cheaper, but downtown options are pretty limited.

So - who's going?

If you are smart you will stay at one of the hotels on the south part of Indy, in Greenwood.

Not sure why you would want to stay out near the airport.

If you want some recommendations send me an IM

If we have a HOME game at any point I am going~

Yes, I am keeping hope alive.

I'm booked downtown. Car stays parked from check-in to check-out.

Doesn't the nfl decide which of the opening round games is played when depending on the matchup?

I tend to work OT on Sundays and pray the Chiefs/Colts is moved to the afternoon game.

just cool it with all of the 'bullshit' timestamps.

Yep.

IIRC, the Saturday games are around 3:30 and 7:30 and the Sunday games are at Noon and 3.

Selfishly, I hope we play on Saturday.

As it stands right now, I'd bet anything we get one of the NBC Saturday games.

CBS would want Baltimore/Cincinnati for the Sunday matchup.

And if by some act of God NE drops to the 3rd seed, we're goddamn-guaranteed to play Saturday.

IM me with the hotel you are staying at. I can tell you if you are getting a decent deal. I work in downtown Indy....from just outside my office you can look out the window inside Lucas Oil and see the large Jumbotron in one corner.

My one playoff road trip was to Indianapolis in 2006. Very fun town. Rival fans were actually pretty cordial. The game sucked, of course, but everything else about the trip was great. We wore our Chiefs stuff out to bars afterwards and a lot of Colts fans stopped by and said hello, but no trash talk. Downtown was a pretty fun scene.

If it's at Arrowhead, yes. If it's on the road, no dice.
