Absolutely Trade Huard

The Chiefs should absolutely trade Damon Huard if they can get a decent draft choice for him. He would be seen as a serviceable veteran backup to a contending team that needs one. If he is nothing more than a third string player in Kansas City because of their rebuilding philosophy, a decent draft choice would be better for them to have.

Damon Huard has negative trade value. Duh.

Sure-Oz 07-29-2008 05:32 PM

They toooook Huaaaard jobs!

CrazyPhuD 07-29-2008 05:33 PM

But but but, huard is going to lead the chiefs to the super bowl. If we trade huard what will that do to our SB chances?

I seriously doubt if they could get a 7th rounder for Huard right now. Maybe in November when a bunch of QB's are sitting on the injury lists but right now in July teams would laugh at you.

Hell, we may have to GIVE a 7th for someone to take him.

Seriously, barring a league-wide run of QB injuries of epic proportion, Huard has ZERO trade value.

Unless we're planning to find another QB with NFL experience I would keep him on the roster.

Getting a draft pick out of him is tempting, but if Croyle goes down...
Yikes...

Heh

Who the hell would give a draft pick for Damon Horrid?

Actually Al Davis might. :hmmm:

Hammock Parties 07-29-2008 05:47 PM

We can't trade him. I'm having his baby.

Probably a 1st or 2nd..........but man would hate to have to give that up so the Chiefs could get rid of him.

**** draft picks, let's trade him for both Mannings, Jake Long, the 1997 version of Warren Sapp, and Vince Lombardi. Why limit yourself to just draft picks for a commodity like Huard?

If Croyle goes down, what?

We lose 11 games instead of 10?

Hell, I'd rather see Thigpen get a look before Huard plays another down for this organization.

While we're at it, bring David Greene back. Or any other QB under the age of 25 that's available.

But not a 35 year old retread.
