It doesn't hurt nearly as bad as extraction, it's not a big deal really. Oh and $120 for a route canal? is this the neighbor with a pair of pliars?

Not at all. I had a filling that hurt like shit because the numbing stuff didn't kick in and the dentist started drilling. That hurt.
