One of the best movies i've seen in quite a while is Everything Must Go, starring Will Ferrell, its his Lost in Translation... where the comedic actor comes into his own & gets respect as a more serious figure.

Great story about a guy who's lost everything & decides to live in his front yard, sounds cliche, but the best words i can come up with are 'heartfelt & touching'.

Loved it.

The movie was filmed here in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I worked with woman who's daughter was the little girl that comes and sits on his lap when he's talking to Laura Dern. And Kenny is Notorious B.I.G.'s son.

Oh and if you like comedy horror movies check out Tucker and Dale VS Evil. It's quite a fun movie. Bit of a 1 trick pony but lots of funny moments. Alan Tudyk is in it! It tells the tale some college kids going into the woods to camp and meeting some hicks. Only it's told from the hicks PoV. http://www.magnetreleasing.com/tuckeranddalevsevil/

Just got done watching Let the Right One In. It was really excellent. It's a good Hallowe'en movie. It's not a horror flick, but a very well done movie with a slightly dark subject matter. I'm not going to give anything away because I think it's more effective if you don't know what it's about, but I highly recommend it.

I'd recommend seeing 50/50.

It's humorous throughout; and very heavy sometimes. I felt engaged the entire movie; and it's not like you can root against somebody fighting cancer.

It has horror elements to it, but that's not the primary focus of the movie. I'm not sure it qualifies.

It's classic horror! Horror != lots of gore and murder, necessarily.
