Fantasy Football Thread, pick #1

Would you take LJ #1?

I somehow ****ed up and found myself picking first, just curious

BIG_DADDY 08-02-2006 06:03 PM

It's a good pick. Peyton and Tomlinson would also get consideration.

tyton75 08-02-2006 06:06 PM

Alexander should be considered as well.. but I'm a homer and would go with LJ

I'm have first picked and L.J. franchised. What to do what to do

ChiefFan31 08-02-2006 06:09 PM

Im picking 1st myself this year.

I had LJ a lock to go #1. Part of it is homerism, but mostly I feel he is the best.

When Roaf retired, I found myself questioning that a little bit. Like maybe Alexander in the weak ass NFC West. I am calming down now though and leaning towards LJ again.

short version - blah, blah - Stick with LJ :thumb:

I've got an ache to hold out on drafting a running back and picking up Reggie Bush later on but its really risky.

Any of the 4 would be worthy of the top pick. I would most likely pick L.J. first. I rate them all equally and he's a Chief. I hated the year I had two bronco's and had to root against my fanasy team. (I would always take a fantasy loss for a KC win but lets be real its hard when cash is involved with the league)

I think SA struggles more with the loss of Hutchinson than LJ does with the loss of Roaf.

If I were playing FF, my internal debate would be between LJ and Tomlinson, with SA a strong third.

Iowanian 08-02-2006 06:15 PM

my top 3 choices would be

Tomlinson
Johnson
Alexander

DJay23 08-02-2006 06:22 PM

LJ. Beyond that you could argue anyone, but LJ is #1.

dred 08-02-2006 06:26 PM

It would be a toss up between Shaun Alexander and LT if Iwas picking 1st.

LJ and Manning would be my #3 and #4 choices.

That is a solid squad man. 12 man league?

WR's lack a little bit, but having three stud backs will carry you through the season IMHO. I think Michael Clayton will have a big rebound year.

Yeah, definitely make LJ the number one pick. We lost Roaf, but Shaun also lost an important OLineman and LT lost his QB...not that any of their production will drop off, but I would say that LJ's downside is equivalent to the downsides of the other players, so stick with LJ and ride him to glory.

chagrin 08-02-2006 07:13 PM

12 teams and they were picking WR's and TE's in the first round, I laughed my ass off, should be a breeze
