Do you think Jacoby Jones deserved SB MVP over Flacco???
I think so. That kick return was awesome, and was the difference in the ball game. Flacco played great and had great numbers etc and I know QB is the most important position etc...but in all fairness the QB position almost always gets the award because of the position.

No.
|
Jacoby had an awesome game but Flacco gets my vote for MVP.
|
Maybe throw Boldin into the mix too. He made some outstanding important catches. He can play for my team any day.
|
Flacco is the man
|
Is this a serious thread??
The TD came in the 3rd qtr putting them up 28 to 6. Not like it was the go ahead score. Flacco was money all game long. And with little running game to boot. |
Flacco dominated the game. No.

Yes. He deserved it... |
Joe Flacco deserves MVP for the post season and Super Bowl. I think 11 TDs to 0 ints. That's Joe Montanya territory.
|
Speaking of Joe Montana, the best commercial imo was the ketchup on jersy that looked like Joe Montana. It was freaking funny until his wife washed it in "Tide". I'd get a divorce.

I thought "if he finishes this and makes the biggest comeback in SB history it's fitting..." |

No. Flacco was the MVP
|
I probably would have voted Jones, but have no issues at all with the Flacco choice.

Better draft Collin Klein |

Flacco is a testement to identifing and drafting a young QB, and haveing the patience and endurance to letting him develop over time. You will definately have ups and downs as a team and fan, but it will pay off if your patient. |

The whole idea of "grooming" is for the Marino type QB and not the new breed of QB that can move and you can still use WHILE grooming... |
I say yes, he deserved it.

Joe Flacco started game 1 his rookie year. |

I liked Flacco for MVP but that Jones return was sweet and right up the gut too.
|
Don't think this is the right thread for this but didn't feel like starting a new one.
Does anyone think that power outage shit was a ploy by the network to get people tuned back in? I mean, even I had basically tuned out. It was 28-6, a lot of people were probably tuning out. Then all of a sudden my phone lights up with people telling me about the power. So I tune back in, only to see those guys spend 30 minutes telling the world how SF still has a chance. Luckily, SF actually did come back and make a hell of an interesting game. |

No, Jay-Z and the Illuminati were responsible for the power outage.

The Illuminati is a network of individuals that control network television.

I was not at all tuned out. |

I thought Jones' touchdown catch was more impressive than his kickoff return. I was shocked that he managed to get into the end zone.

Had to just totally deflate them. The return was just a slap in the face... |
Oh, but we were all tuned in for the half-time show.

The 30 short cut showed the alien with red eyes behind the blonde. Right before the SB it was like that thing became the Anthrax scare (remember that? Yeah, still no conviction there either. Now THAT'S a conspiracy) and I couldn't find it anywhere... |

Absolutely Jones was MVP. The TD return plus the long TD (which was horribly underthrown by Flacco).
He made huge plays that crippled the 49ers. But the QB is the front runner for MVP before they even kick off, so I'm not surprised. Oh and draft Geno. (Just like making sure I get that out there whenever possible.) |

Would you have thought so if he didn't have the kickoff return?
|
He returned that for a touchdown and there's no taking that away.
|
I'll give my MVP to whoever pushed Gore out at the 7.

Yeah I thought Jones had a hell of a game as well. He did the return and had to make a huge adjustment on that throw that he got up and took to the house.
Got a kick out of Flacco saying he was going to stick it to the owner. |

Why not co-MVP's? I felt Jacoby had an incredible game as well
|
Had Jacoby not gotten up and scored that tremendous TD in the 2nd quarter (which came on a horribly under thrown ball by Flacco), and SF held Baltimore to a FG, then SF would have only been down 2 on the 5 yard line with a minute left. Then he had the kickoff return TD.
I think Jones was the MVP. |
MVP nope.
Good game yes. |

The Super Bowl that the Colts won, they gave it to Manning when the Colts HB deserved it. Can't remember his name.
|
I'd have given Flacco most valuable player of the first half. :D
He nearly let the game slip away. |

Not a big Flacco fan. But do you realize that he had a PERFECT post season? 8 TD's I think and NO interceptions. I'm not sure if that's been done before. Cha Ching. |

Are you guys talking about this run back?? You know the one where 49ers Delaney was getting hogtied by the Ravens?
|
Flacco has a potty mouth....too dirty for Disney World!

Flacco sucks and was invisible in the second half. Damn wankers.
|
Flacco was definitely the MVP. But Jacoby had an amazing game as well and you could probably argue about it. But Flacco definitely deserved it.

Ray Lewis said the only reason Jacoby ran the td back is because Ray Ray put his hands on Jacoby's chest. ??? |
Flacco got a new 2014 Corvette too.

Jones was a difference maker. Flacco handled the ball on every play and made every throw.
Flacco MVP. |

Oh, as for the topic: I think I'd have gone with Jones as MVP, but if the winning team's QB performs well he's awfully hard to beat for that award. |
