-- Do we owe Perkins Bakery & Cafe a little discussion?
Fine baked goods, great Denver Omeletts? Sourdough country-club sandwich?
Any of you KC folks still visit here? What do you procure at Perkins and why? Do you only go for the free toy chest up front? Snicker-doodle cookies? Good baked goods there (I seem to recall) Whatcha' got?! http://www.perkinsrestaurants.com/menu/ http://i64.tinypic.com/2lmlapi.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/29q1saf.jpg |

I love the Moons over my Hammy. Can we talk about Denny's instead?
|
I need to review Denny's we DO have a thread on it.

My mom usually brings a couple of their pies out for our Christmas dinner. They're always very good. Other than that I will never choose to eat there. But it's not like it's a terrible option. Just not one that crosses my mind.

My wife and my first date ended up at Perkins. We also ended up there on the way to the hotel on our wedding night.
First date was actually touring performance of Phantom of the Opera at the KC Music Hall. After the show, Perkins was one of a few things open still. A couple years later, best man and usher are driving us to the hotel on our way to the honeymoon. Neither of us got to eat much at all at the reception, so we had them pull into the same Perkins for a meal. |

My wife has dined at a Perkins before and I have not. Am I missing out? |

Sorry can't eat their baked products—but I have had their lemon meringue pie while skipping the crust. Their coffee sucks though. Bitter. |
