Question About Toilets/Plumbing
If I wanted to dispose large amounts of liquid into my central sewage system, could I use a transfer pump and pump the liquid into the toilet? If I stuck the hose past the trapway of the toilet and started pumping, would that work? I feel like it would, but I'm not sure. Would I flood the toilet, or would it kind of flush itself?
Asking for a friend. I'll hang up and listen. |
nah, transfer it into a working clean-out if you can
|
The toilet will self flush if you pour it in the bowl, as long as you aren't pouring faster than it will go down obviously.
Any more questions Jessie? |
4" clean out, should be outside...unscrew the cap and pump the liquid down the cleanout
|
I'm an expert...let me work up a plan for you. Just kidding.

Meth lab?
Seriously, what liquid? |
youcould also just take the toilet off and go right down the poo hole...two bolts and some wax...
depends on how 'large' of a volume of liquid youre pumping and whether or not you have easier access to a clean-out |
Is there a clean out somewhere? If so that would be the proper place to try that I would think.
If this is in the city just dump it down the storm drain in the curb. |

would probably be better than trying to go through the toilet unless youre sure your hose can wind through the whole toilet without kinking its smaller than the poo hole (3" -4") but 2" can handle some decent volume if you bypass the p-trap...which might be only connected with hand-tigethened nuts |
how many gallons are you talking about?
how fast will the water be flowing |
