Philly Cheesteak Sammich in Wichita
I used to love this place called Sub & Stuff... they had the best friggin philly cheesteaks in history.... well, Wichita at least.
Since they have been closed down for several years now I have had to endure several restaurants who "think" they can do a philly right. So far noone has come even close. Anyone here know of any good places that make a good philly here in Wichita? Either that or a killer Pastrami & Swiss sammich. |
No idea.
But I do enjoy a King's X waffle. |
I know this isn't any help but there's a place in Springfield (national chain) called Lenny's that makes killer cheesesteaks.

Looks like the closest they've come to you is in OP. http://www.lennyssubshop.com/section...=find&state=KS

Thanks anyways Jim. I'll check them out next time I head up North. |
Sub and Stuff closed down? WTF!
Just go eat the best hamburger in the world at the Oasis lounge then! |
I just called my junk food expert in Wichita, and he said he knew of none.
We have a little franchise chain up here called Charlies. They have an awesome Philly. Everyplace else around here puts Italian beef under some cheese and passes it off. |

I've never had a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I guess I need to go to Philly and try a real one before I judge.

Sub 'n Stuff was great. I miss it. :( :(

Ummm... |
Just don't put green peppers on a Philly. They don't belong there.
TIA. |

Steak-umm, bell pepper, onion, pepperoncini [or raw jalepeno, if I had it around], all browned together. Hoagie roll, toasted lay down a layer of queso-blanco on the toasted roll spoon the browned meat/veg over the cheese. coupe de grace, a liberal salting with Zatarain's Seasoning'n'Herbs. |

Crazy thing, Ray died on the way home from shooting his lowest round ever. :( |
