Do you want your internet friends to know if you die?

Alternatively, do you have a plan, or an idea for a plan setup shall you perish?

Do you think you'll be on CP until you kick the bucket (assuming it's still around)?

PaulAllen 01-30-2013 11:55 PM

No

TimeForWasp 01-30-2013 11:55 PM

I send out mass emails every time I die.

KurtCobain 01-30-2013 11:56 PM

I've put alot of thought into this.

I was just thinking in like 20 years, like 2-3% (at least) of our regulars now will be dead.

Buehler445 01-30-2013 11:59 PM

Yeah. I think it would get to someone here.

Downer of a thread, just let everyone fade into relative obscurity.

Plus consider that CP has been around for 12+ years. How many deaths have we been notified about? Logical, Buster's Dad, and Crazyhorse are the only ones that come to mind. In a 12-year stretch like that with as many members as we have, we should have more Planet deaths than 3 by now.

How many people on that member list have REALLY passed away already?

Dr. Johnny Fever 01-31-2013 12:02 AM

If I die while I'm still an active member of this board JazzzLovr will post a thread for the first time in years. I haven't asked her to, she just will.

I don't even have a plan to notify my family. If I'm not working at the time, it's entirely possible I could ripen here in my apartment for days before anybody even noticed.

Thanks for putting my mind on this happy topic.

Assholes.

Dr. Johnny Fever 01-31-2013 12:37 AM

Thanks to this thread JazzzLovr and I now have a death notification plan for each other.

You guys will have a pretty good idea if I'm dead, so no worries.

I plan to have someone let everyone here know. Hopefully I get on that before I croak.

I have to admit, Logical's passing hit me really ****ing hard.

Fortunately, I haven't experienced much death, although it's coming. When Jim passed, I was really hit hard. And I missed the guy.

She's been hitting the books pretty hard. Graduation is coming up, and then the last free Summer of her life before college. She's mixing in anime club meetings/conventions and sleepovers. Plus she hasn't gotten her driver's license done yet. And of course she has started attending a local church. I take her, but I give her crap about it. I tell her to try not to persecute anyone or burn any witches while she's there.

I saw that when I logged on a little while ago. I was thinking "Didn't he pass away?" But then I wasn't sure.

I think we've only lost 3 so far but who really knows?

It was a year ago that I had my heart attack and died three times on the operating table. Strange that you would bring this up today on my birthday. You must have your esp working full court today. Unless somebody from my family posted a death thread, I doubt anyone would notice much less care.

You serious? :spock:

Not to be mean but you're probably right considering how much you post.

ChiTown 01-31-2013 09:04 AM

Yeah, my oldest Son has said he would let people know on here if I were to kick the bucket. I had some serious health issues a couple of years ago, to the extent that I didn't think I was going to make it. Being the good little soldier that he is, he stood by my hospital bed and told me he was prepared to take care of things at home, and to also tell the folks at ChiefsPlanet that I had died. I cried and chuckled at the same time.:D

splatbass 01-31-2013 09:05 AM

I wouldn't expect anyone to care, since I don't know anyone here personally. I'll just disappear, and no one will notice. And I'm ok with that.

Yeah, I have some Family health problems (bad genes) that will ultimately be my demise - hopefully later, than sooner. Just the hand I was dealt. That's why I need the Chiefs to get to the SuperBowl, and quick!:D

If I die (and I say if because I'm planning on immortality), then I hope someone puts up a poll asking how it happened, and populating it a bunch of really cool responses like, "Killed by falling moai on Easter Island".

Are you planning to have your consciousness transferred to an immortal jellyfish? Also, did you ever live in Oregon?

Apparently, once upon a time, the state did indeed allow Harrington — code name: “Rain Man" — to collect water in his reservoirs. However, officials reversed their decision the same year, 2003, that the three permits were issued, citing a 1925 law that states the city of Medford holds all exclusive rights to "core sources of water" in the Big Butte Creek watershed and its tributaries.
