SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 96
 

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

Failure is not an option for obvious reasons.

Easy Cape Fear one of my all time favorites.

Pretty good heat here. My votes:

#1 - Apollo 13. Space plot, engineering drama, and a wonderful quote. This is a great scene. I really want to hang out with Ed Harris in this movie.

#2 - Cape Fear. I'm not usually into fight scenes, particularly unrealistic ones, but geez, Deniro is creepy enough to pull this one off.

#3 - Bridesmaids. I'll admit it. I laughed. I'm not into diarrhea humor at all, but they managed to do this one right. It's better than a #3 scene in most heats.

I think this Apollo 13 scene could go deep into the tournament. It's a sleeper pick.

Cape Fear because De Nero and Scorcese are boss.

If A-13 loses then this whole contest is a SHAM.

Oh, it's happening, . . it's happening, . . . it happened. . . .Ohhhh

All good, but DeNiro was at the top of his powers (non-mafia movie) in Cape Fear.
