Playoff seeding question

Hypothetical question here with no basis in real life standing, but if the following was to happen and the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins all had the same regular season record, who is the division winner?

If the Cowboys swept the Giants.
The Giants swept the Redskins.
The Cowboys and Redskins split.
The Eagles won 0 games.

Do the Cowboys win the NFC East?

Since no team swept all other teams they were tied with and no team lost to all other teams they were tied with, head to head gets thrown out and it moves to the next tiebreaker.

Edit: nevermind, Cowboys have the best divisional record and would win the division. It doesn't come down to head to head.

So, if the next tie breaker was say total points scored and the Giants outscored both other teams, then even they would win the division over a team that had swept them?

Thanks for the help!

Don't you move onto conference record after division record?

EDIT: I thought points scored and strength of schedule were a bit down the line in terms of tiebreakers.

No, sorry. Divisional record comes after total record, Cowboys would win at 5-1.

Yes.

I guess the thing I was wondering if there a Head to Head winner could be determined in the scenario or if it had to move on to tie breakers.

If it's a division tie, "record in common games" comes next, then conference record.

It's best WLT record for games among the teams involved in the tiebreaker. So Cowboys would win.

Cowboys: 3-1
Giants: 2-2
Redskin: 1-3
