Headphones
OK, I am tired of the ear buds that come with the iPhone/iPod. Looking for some good over the ear headphones. Not wanting to drop $200+ on Beats by Dre or anything. $50 or less is my price range.
I've looked at the iFrogz Vertex and SkullCandy Hesh 2.0. Anyone one these or have recommendations on another pair? |
Do you want a mic with it? Do you like Bass?
I got the VModa bass freq earbuds for like $50 for my S3 and it works great. |

Go buy a pair of cheap noise-cancelers. Not only does the battery power cancel noise, it also provides a sound boost.

DRE BEATS!!!!!! not worth the money my brother gave me his pair before going back to Afghanistan

I bought a pair of in-ear bose for about 80....wasnt worth the money. Returned them and bought a 50-60 dollar sony in-ear.
Couldnt be happier at that price. And yes, beats by dre suck |
Sennheiser is a good brand imo. Check slick deals for a good prices, then check reviews for said model.

Get some old school RCA headphones off ebay.

If you can stretch your budget a little bit, I recommend these Shure headphones. Really durable and they sound great.

Sennheiser HD 280 PRO.
A bit above your price range but if you can stretch your budget a bit you might be able to score a pair for ~$75 if you look around. |
Any cheap noise cancelers sound fine and are an improvement over pack-in phones
|
Look on Amazon. Lots of highly highly reviewed out there for way less than $50.

Why do Beats suck? Had my solo HD's for a year now, use them every day at work & at the gym. Best $150 i ever spent.

I'm looking for the best noise reduction. Sound quality doesn't matter much to me (within reason) but I want to block out all outside noise. And no, I don't want a mic. What would be a good choice?

If your problem with the standard earbuds is comfort, you may not need to go all the way to over-ear headphones for relief. I use some inexpensive JVC earbuds with marshmallow soft earpieces that produce decent sound and are very comfortable even after long periods. I even sleep with mine in sometimes, which is something I never could have done with Apple's standard issue buds. They do a pretty good job of blocking out external sound too. Best of all, they're only $10-15 or so (even cheaper for some colors). Search for "JVC Marshmallow" on amazon.com or click on the picture below for a black pair that's selling for $10.70.
