Texans give Hopkins extension
 

Texans signed WR DeAndre Hopkins to a five-year, $81 million extension through 2022.

The deal includes "nearly" $50 million guaranteed, breaking the previous record. Despite a down 2016 fueled by horrendous quarterback play, 25-year-old Hopkins has established himself as one of the league's top wideouts. He boasts unreal body control to go along with top-notch explosion and excellent hands. He surpassed 1,200 yards in both 2014-15. Quarterback remains the issue, but Hopkins is a true No. 1 receiver.

Jesus, how is he only 25?

Waste of money. You need a good corp and a bad ass QB not one great WR and a crap QB like Watson.

Makes even less sense to let a talent like that walk. He's been really ****ing good even with the tirefire he's had at QB down there.

Way too much guaranteed.
