Youth Coaching
My wife just informed me that some people at her church group were saying they were looking for people to coach some flag football for a few groups of kids. Apparently they are in desperate need of people with time to volunteer time to help coach the kids the basics of the game. It seems they got a lot more kids than they anticipated so they have a few teams that are currently actually sharing coaches.
I like most planeteers spend a lot of time observing and breaking down games but I've never considered actually coaching at any level. These are pre-teens in what I'm going to assume is a league with minimal competitiveness and an emphasis on team work and sportsmanship. Has anyone here done any youth coaching before? Are there any resources you guys can recommend to help teach young people the basics of the game? |

What a great age to teach the kids the basics of physical fitness, teamwork and social Darwinism.

Try the NFL Youth football, they have a flag football program, nation-wide.
They might have some resources available to you. |
Just keep those kids out of the bars. We all know what can happen there.

Just do a search on the internet for coaching youth football and you will find lots of info. Work on the fundamentals of the game!!!
