If *YOU* were a first round draft pick...

Would you want to be one of the first 5 picks for the money but you play for a terrible team... or would you rather be a 30-32nd pick and get less money but play for a Super Bowl contending team?

Personally, I would much rather be a late 1st rounder and play for a team that is going to be a contender. As long as I play well, I am still going to get paid on my next contract... assuming I don't get hurt.

I would choose the latter as well. Of course there's always the chance you could be Brady Quinned and get nabbed by a sucky team trading up, getting less pay and being on a bad team. So it might be best to go for the money.

interesting pov but i think the higher you go the better off you are

Heh, yeah he kinda got hosed in that regard.

I would rather be in the top 4 and get the money. If you are good the team will get better. If you suck you still have the cash.

There's too much parity to guarantee success, so along with the challenge of being part of a rebuilding process, I'd take the money to be on a bad team.... outside of the Lions and Raiders.

I'd choose Top 5. Get the money, and be a catalyst for change. Plus, it probably means I am super-talented, and could be one of the keys to turning things around and establishing myself as an NFL legend.

The chance of going to last years superbowl teams
and going back to the SB is not good if not the Patriots
bottom dwelers have a better chance if not Lions or Cards

Gimme the $ and I'll take my chances... look at teams like OAK in their last SB appearance. What happened the next year? Steelers? Nothing is a sure thing.
