Plumbing Question
Recently, of a sudden, when I turn the hot water on in my bathroom sink, it makes a loud vibrating noise in the pipes.
Anyone know why this is and is there an easy fix? |
problem: Poltergeist
solution: Move! |
I had that happen once in my house and a plumber told me it was probably a loose or deteriorated rubber valve seat. I just replaced the entire faucet.

Air in the hot water line. It's called "water hammer."

This link will show you what to look for and how to fix it. You can focus on the hot water line if you can identify those. http://home.howstuffworks.com/home-i...fix-pipes4.htm |
loose hanger or bracket?

You'll want to drain your hot side copper pipes. Turn off water. Open lowest hot water valve in house. Then open upper-most hot water valve.
