Recently, of a sudden, when I turn the hot water on in my bathroom sink, it makes a loud vibrating noise in the pipes.

Anyone know why this is and is there an easy fix?

I had that happen once in my house and a plumber told me it was probably a loose or deteriorated rubber valve seat. I just replaced the entire faucet.

Air in the hot water line. It's called "water hammer."

Maybe, but water hammer normally occurs when a valve is closed not when one is opened.

Just replaced the faucet within the last couple months.

Water hammer only causes noise at the moment the water is shut off. It sounds like Milkman's problem is just generic vibrating pipes that happens whenever he turns on the hot water lines.

You'll want to drain your hot side copper pipes. Turn off water. Open lowest hot water valve in house. Then open upper-most hot water valve.
