Ok, first off, props to Lilja. Dude took 100% of the blame and said he left it short when clearly we know the reality.

Bill Maas broke it down and threw the blame on Cassel. Said you could tell by his stature at the line that it was going to be a QB sneak and he took off early.

Also Lilja pointed out it was not a called play. Repeat, the QB sneak was not a called play. Cassel "alerted" into the QB sneak.

I thought Cassel was going to be called for a false start on that play.

I know a lot of people here don't care for Lilja, but IMO (which may not mean much) he has done a pretty spectacular job filling in for Hudson.

I laughed my ass off when Cassel botched that snap, but just about came out of my chair when Dan Fouts tried to place the blame on Lilja.

Fouts is an idiot. I hate it when he calls Chiefs games. He is wrong very often. :doh!:

I am impressed with Lilja. Some say he was washed up when we signed him. He has not been great but he is no MC and has filled in nicely.

I understand why Winston is upset. It's just a shame he doesn't understand why we the fans are upset.

Good keep lilja at center and let Hudson and Allen fight for LG

In fairness, Fouts was highly critical of cassel all day long.

No, he wasn't, actually.

Cassel was shuffling his feet, and his hands weren't even close to being in the right spot. He was even leaning to the left of center. It was all too obvious what he was trying to do. The guy can't fool a blind man.

Fouts was a qb and those guys stick up for each other. Trent does the same thing.

Even Fouts started throwing MC under the bus after the first half.
