****OFFICIAL 2013 MLB POSTSEASON THREAD****
Is there not one of these already? I did a search.
Bucs up 5-1 on Reds in the 7th in their Wild Card game. Rays @ Indians tomorrow. |
2nd Homer for Russel Martin, Pirates up 6-1 Bottom 7.
Awesome for the Pirates! Hopefully this will be the Royals next year.....
Yeah, im pulling for the Pirates. 6-2 in the 8th.
Home run or no?
9th inning, 3 outs away. Up 6-2.
2 outs away.
1 out away.
Pirates win.
Jealous.
Good for them. Pirates are a complete unknown for me. I could see the Cardinals sweeping them out of the playoffs, or riding the wave all the way to the World Series.
Good job Pirates. I really want them to beat the Cardinals.
Go pirates! Liked them when I was younger as my NL team if my white sox weren't doing any good. Now it's good to see them winning.
Hey, bumpity. TB/CLE happening.
Almost an umpiring controversy in the first inning. Swisher foul tip w/ 2 strikes, Molina caught it but 3B ump ruled it hit the ground. To their credit, they huddled up and got it right and rung up Swisher. **** him anyway! |
Rays strike first. They just don't quit.
Delmon Young!
So fastballs down the chute = bad.
Don't throw any more of those Salazar. |
These one gsme WCs are dumb as **** IMO
Someone correct me if I'm wrong: Cincinnati is the first MLB team to enter and exit the postseason without playing a game at home.
That's a pretty big 2 out, 2 RBI double by Jennings.

3-6-1 DP to end the inning
The best scenario would be for the Indians to have a one run lead going to the 9th and have Chris ****ing Perez blow it in spectacular fashion.
I'll take an old fashioned beat down, however. |
What in the wide wide world of sports was Molina doing out there?
Indians hitting like the Royals
Cleveland's going to regret blowing all these scoring chances here in about 2 hours.

Someone step up and knock in a run.
While I'd prefer that the Indians die a horrible post-season death, the result will be playoff games in that horrible stadium the Rays play in.
Hey Nick - try choking up a bit sport.
Jesus man, you don't have to get it all back at once. EDIT: Sure as the sunrise, low, low, up - Swisher doesn't adjust a bit and gets gassed. That's a terrible AB and you just can't give away opportunities like that in a 1 and done setting. |
Indians = FAIL
Chisenhall! Kelt em in it on D
Indians laying a big ass egg lol.
Doyers are next don't worry
I'm guessing the Indians are wishing that the Twins, Astros, and White Sox were in the playoffs. That way they could actually win.

It's hard to beat 'em up too badly, afterall they can only beat who they play. But their record against winning teams was awful. The Tribe made the playoffs by beating up on shitty teams. When you watch guys like Swisher give away an AB like that, you definitely understand why they struggled against quality ballclubs. Put them in the East or the West and they probably win 80 games. The Royals, OTOH, probably don't drop off that much in a harder division because the style of ball they play is pretty equally effective against good or bad teams - pitching and defense will play against anyone. |
I hate that ****ing drum.
Shut them out TB...eff the indians
Eh indian fans at least deserve a winner. Rays don't give a ****.

I rooted for the Phillies in the World Series a few years back for just that very reason. I felt dirty for months afterwards. But the good news is that you can console yourself with the fact that Indians fans don't give a **** either. Indians players have essentially spent the season begging people to get out there and watch a game or two. And unlike TB, who plays in a dump, The Jake is a damn nice stadium. |
****!
So many sad faces and tears!
That'll shut them up.
Ew. Bukkake.
Suck it tribe, you'll be back in 4th place next year.
Another Cleveland playoff success.
I'm glad to see the least deserving team in the post-season pack it in.
It's hard to blame too much success over 162 games on the schedule, but it sure seemed like these guys were playing the White Sox, Twins and Astros every single night. Begone, mediocre ballclub. I like me some Francona, but the rest of you fellas were way out of your depth here. |

Dodgers up 2-0 going into the bottom of the 2nd.

Dodgers take game 1 6-1.
Kershaw struggled bad with his control all game long, but only gave up 1 run on 3 hits went 7. Tomorrow's game at 3pm pst. |
so far this postseason blows. Not a single game has even been competitive yet.
Dusty whacked as Reds' manager.
I would post a link, but I don't give a shit. |

Matt Moore got lit up. Somebody keep sharp objects away from Duncan Idaho today.
Hanley with the RBI double dodgers up 1-0
Looked like the Braves were about to choke one away again on a defensive blunder, but they got a huge double play. Still lead 2-1. Dodgers have an inning to get something or have to beat Kimbrel in the 9th.
Dodgers caught stealing down by 1 in the 9th w/ 1 out (now 2 w/ the CS).
So Kimbrel walks the next guy. Dodgers would have had that guy on 2nd anyways. Shit luck.
Doyers lose
Braves bounce back and win. Both NL series tied at 1.
And just like that Miguel Cabrera gives Detroit a 1-0 lead over the Oakland Moneyballs with an RBI single. Bartolo Colon getting hit around.
This will be another first round exit for Oakland, its what they do.
