I am skeptical that he is getting fired. I admit that is probably mostly due to the fact I have been burned by the Chiefs for so many years that I just don't trust them any more.

Carl was in the middle of a rebuild with a completely unexperienced rosterand zero expectations and even he skipped town with a record like this. Pioli had high expectations this year. Get out.

I read Marty's story and it sounds good and I hope it is true but then I see a picture of Pioli in Oakland and he doesn't look like a guy that knows he is getting fired or was told he was going to be let go.

I will believe it when I see it.

DaKCMan AP, in all his Awesomeness, has met Clark on two occasions. Both times Clark has been kind, gracious, and accommodating. He has never appeared rash, impulsive, or stupid.

He's still getting paid to be on the field shaking hands. DaKCMan AP met Scott on the field pregame when the Chiefs played in Tampa this year. His job pregame is to schmooze, shake hands, take pictures, and be all "Rah-Rah". For the amount of $$ he makes I'm sure he has no trouble putting on this act even with knowledge that he has only 2 performances remaining.

I don't think Pioli being here next year or not impacts the decision to draft a QB. With all the shit that's happened this year and the embarrassing play from all the QBs I think Clark will pull rank and go all Jerry Jones with the QB situation.

At the end of the day it's a business. If Scott is making as much money for Clark that some reported, then his job might be safe. A new QB will give the fans some faith. They will come back to the stadium and Scott can keep the coins rolling.

There isn't a reasonable reason to bring him back. He's not making the Hunts a shitload of money, he's losing them money and they aren't winning.

A few weeks back I thought he was staying. As bad as we were this past 2 weeks he has to be fired. I'd still say there is a 5% chance he stays because its the ****ing Chiefs and their purpose seems to be to piss me off.

I don't think Pioli made the Hunts any more money than any other GM would have. While it's not easy to be successful(a winner) those seats in the stadium are fill up regardless who the GM is. You know who made the Hunts a bunch of money? Clark Hunt when he was at the front of the new CBA negotiations. Hunt didn't do that to have his GM make his fanchise a laughing stock. Pioli ran under the salary cap and clean the dead money, some GM wouldn't want to do that. We are talking hundreds of millions of dollars since Pioli signed on.
