Watching that video I just started cheering uncontrollably.

That was a great run for a long first down.

Doesn't matter. It helps but you can get concussions from pretty weak looking shots, falls, etc.

Maybe but I swear I think players fake shit all the time in the NFL.

Is there any more angles to this play?

It is like the JFK shooting. I am certain there was someone on the grassy knoll shooting Cassel with a dart.

How did Cassel get a concussion?

He's pussy that should have died from antifreeze poisoning a long time ago. Next question.

I don't know about faking entirely being extremely prevalent but several milk stuff for penalties (flopping).

Here is a good example about how the impact from someone already concussed hitting the ground can jolt them back awake. This works the other way in football, bc typically players aren't KO'd before they hit the ground.

We can demonize the shit out of Pioli and Cassel for being incompetent, not for a conspiracy theory that probably doesn't hold water.

The whole thing just seems a bit too convenient to me with all the bad press this week about Cassel

seaofred 10-09-2012 05:22 PM

Look back at the video, when #99 first hit him, his shoulder pad hits Cassel in the chin. A "knock out" spot.

Sorter 10-09-2012 05:22 PM

Normally, I'd agree. However, Cassel's head bounces at the same angle. I've seen it several times on television, live, in sparring, etc. Your brain either shuts off or turns on when it hits like that. In MMA, typically they turn back on bc they're already out. In football, it is the opposite.

It isn't that hard of an impact. The true collision is the back of his head smacking the ground.
