SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 132
 

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

50 eggs is one the classic scenes in movie history.

My votes:

#1 - Cool Hand Luke. I'm not sure if that's all one scene, but it's pretty entertaining.

#2 - Liar Liar. That scene is pretty unbelievable unbelievable.

#3 - Tango & Cash. After watching two scenes from this movie during the course of the tournament, I have become convinced that it is the worst movie ever made.

Tough choice on the top 2. The boardroom roast scene in Liar, Liar was pretty funny, but the 50 eggs is a great scene in one of my favorite movies.

Cool Hand Luke 50 Eggs good heat though.

Wow. The results so far are surprising. I thought Cool Hand Luke would walk away with this one.

There is something about calling your boss a dickhead.

This was a tough one. Had a hard time deciding between Liar Liar and CHL. In the end, I went with Liar Liar because I think that CHL clip is four or five scenes mashed up. Should be disqualified really.

Wow. This was a battle. Cool Hand Luke wins, but we'll likely see Liar Liar move on with a wildcard.
