Sometimes these guys have friends that have bad credit or no credit and so the player rents a car and his buddy drives it.
Still, it would probably mean he knew something or at least is helping cover something up, I would think.

The only reason to rent a Chevy Suburban is to move a body. Every week the police should go arrest everyone who rents a Chevy Suburban, because you know they murdered someone.
