They have exhibits of actual times/places. Entire rooms were replicated to reproduce buddhist temples or Medieval churches. It was extremely cool once you stopped looking at silly paintings. The upper levels were quite badass. |

Go to south street for its fun atmosphere and eat at Jim's Cheesesteaks- bst in town, IMO. Visit Center City, Independence Hall, and Chinatown. If you do end up doing the Pats/Genos thing, enjoy it but don't expect them to be too good. One of them is hilariously pro-American, with Freedom Fries and all.
Oh, and Tastycakes. Pick em up at a WaWa's |
I stumbled on this place once and I was very moved by it. Washington Square, near the Constitution Center/Independence Hall, has a monument to the unknown Revolutionary War Soldier. Throughout the park there are mass graves of revolutionaries. It's hard not to be thankful in a place like that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomb_of...ry_War_Soldier "Beneath this stone rests a soldier of Washington's army who died to give you liberty." |
