I'm at the point where I can't name hardly any MLB players outside of the usual all stars.

That A's came was pretty cool. Im not an A's fan, but im pulling for them to win it all.

Pretty much the same here. I just cant get too excited about MLB anymore because of the Royals futility.

Heres some interesting facts....Johnny Damon is only 231 hits away from 3000 and Derek Jeter is only 952 away from Pete Roses hits record. Anyone think they can make it?

He was my favorite player when he was in KC. I've rooted for him since and even though I hate the Yankees if that walk off had to happen I was glad it was Raul.

I get that people hate him (and I understand why they do), but he is one of the best players to ever play the game (top 20 for sure). He has 647 career HRs while playing an excellent SS and 3B for his entire career.

Or Carlos Beltran. But his postseason OPS in his career is actually better than Jeter's.

Was talking about ARod's...whose postseason OPS is not better than Ruth and Gehrig (and Beltran), but still better than Jeter.

I was going to say, A Rod was a damn good SS. Jeter, as I said in another thread, never had great range. I usually say there a bunch of SS I would rather have defensively, but in the playoffs, I will take my chances with Jeter. His play in the 8th inning is proof. It wasn't a 10 on the scale, but considering the situation and the play combined, that was clutch as hell. He also made it look a lot easier than it was.

The Washington Nationals sent an email to their fans this morning to notify them of the presale for Nats World Series tickets. I guess you can tell they haven't done this before.

That Nationals loss was the saddest thing I've ever seen.

Don't really hate him. No denying he's been a great regular season player. But I'm all about clutch and how you perform under pressure that makes you truly great. He's not clutch.

Heh, a lot of times it's the unsung guys in the post season who deliver. There's not nearly the amount of pressure on them to perform as there is on star players. I think they can just relax at the plate because nobody really expected them to do much anyways.
