Fellas - Alex Smith is the nightmare scenario. This is now a team that's going to play mediocre football for the duration of his tenure here. It will even take advantage of league parity and make the playoffs a few times. It's going to be the epitome of soul-crushing mediocrity. It will never get good enough to ramp up expectations, it will never be bad enough to incite outrage.

I'm not happy about the trade as I think it cost us too much. But I think people need to wait and see how things shake out. Maybe they are planning on signing Albert and hopefully Bowe than drafting Geno and have him sit 2 years ala Aaron Rogers. Though doubtful this is what im hoping for. I'm waiting to see what happens before I get too pissed

They'll be here for 8-10 years. Smith is just good enough to get us to True Fandise, and that's all Hunt cares about. The fact of the matter is that until the Hunt family sells this team the Chiefs will never win.

It's not about the management anymore, it's the ownership.

The New York football Giants are the model we are apt to follow. Worse at QB, but not Matt Cassel worse.

I'm not a happy camper today but I think its going to be over 4 years.

I'm not saying that Smith is going to work out, but I do think we will have better QB play and overall coaching than we did since DV was here.
