Scarlett was my favorite, of course.). Oh, and Hungry, Hungry Hippo... what a disappointment now. It's way smaller and, I'm not sure, but I think the balls are just plastic, not marbles, (like the original).

The toy manufactures are idiots and just producing crap.

I couldn't agree more. If you think its hard shopping for a lil boy. Try shopping for a lil daughter. & the shit is priced so high. 50 bucks dnt buy shit anymore

I remember getting my very first pack of football cards. A couple of the guys in that pack were Verlon Biggs and Brig Owens, with these very cards (or exact duplicates).

Remember that crazy football game from Mattel with the Red Radio contraption and yellow discs you inserted called "Talking Football"

This is true. However, one thing that hasn't changed much for girls... Barbies. Then there are hot wheels for boys. But, my son has so many damn hot wheels, (some new, some vintage), and he doesn't need more.

I should probably correct myself... I will give the toy manufacturers some credit for Thomas The Train play sets. My son owns damn near every train and play set on the market. He has tripped over them and played rough with them and they're very durable.

The problem though is it takes so damn long to put the tracks together. By the time it's complete, he plays for 5 minutes, loses interest, then I have train tracks all over the house. lol

You guys have to come out with the boy this spring & let him run & play around with my locomotive. The railroad is out in Waverly so not to far away
They have some cool R/C army tanks out there

I had that one, too. It was my main football game until I got Thinking Man's Football.

The challenge with that is that you couldn't play against most other kids, because they pretty quickly figured out that the "Gadget Play" disc was likely to score a touchdown, while the middle running plays wouldn't gain more than a few yards.

I'd play it on my own and had some rules for which play I'd use based on down and distance. If you did that, it was okay.

LMAO I'm just glad that taking them apart takes less time than putting them together.

Thanks for the invite. He would really dig that! :) He's always been fond of trains and we have yet to take him to ride on one or see one up close.

We got something very much like this when we were 13 or 14. Loved it. We wore out a track around the yard until Dad bribed us with a TV for our rooms in exchange for selling it.

My brother and I had quite a few of them.
