Ah yes, the Perry Lecompton Kaws. Listen, I could tell you stories about coaching Meriden youth baseball that would match yours. Those small town teams have real chips on their shoulders. They would scream and bitch at me when I umpired. Honk their car horns during fly balls or pop-ups on the infield to distract kids. I mean it was like they had to win or they wouldn't be on the Kansas map ever again. PL, Valley Falls.

Wierd mf'ers.

Yep. A couple of years ago their team knocked out one of my kids on a punt return. The kid was KTFO'd. Their coaches were laughing about it. I came that f****** close.

I was umpiring during a tournament and this bitch from VF, KS. was just bitching and bitching about every call. Could have been the female version of Petegeezus.

Finally I turn to her and say in o very loud voice: "The job is open lady. You can have it if you've got the eyes to match that yap"! Hilarity from the crowd ensued.

Her husband was all over me after that and I said to him: "Oh, you've got a higher voice than her? No wonder you were so quiet". More hilarity. Shamed the **** out of them both.

Hated that town and every resident in the part of Jeff County.

Pisses me the f*** off when I have to spread rep around... Rep to you, real world.

What pisses me off is that I still have to play those mfers one more time this season. They kick on-side after on-side, I deal with parents taking their kids to the doctor & emergency room... time after time.

What age group is this? I'd begin recruiting like the SEC and getting some rather large youngsters in there with fake birth certificates.

We need solutions here.

A number of my players from last year quit in favor of fall baseball. Several of them won state in their division, and some kids just like baseball more. A couple had changes to their home environments that threw things off. Add 14 first year players, and it's been a rough row to hoe. Today we go up against a team that we might be able to play with.

I'm off track. Good win by the Wildcats yesterday. I've got a full plate today. Have a good one.

Hope it all went well today, BC.

Nope. We needed to win by 21 to qualify for the postseason. Lost 28-0. One kid to the hospital with multiple broken fingers following a stomp on his left hand. Had another taken out with a possible concussion after the 1st stringer pissed off the entire offensive line blaming them for his lack of success. Same kid sat out the entire game sobbing last weekend when I pulled him from the game after he was showing 0 effort.

Yeah, I love youth sports.

Glad this is my last year of coaching. I'm really not cut out for this. On a losing team, the finger pointing gets a little out of hand.
