Makes me wonder if we can re-build our O-Line. Historically we are pretty inept at selecting O-line in the draft.

You have to credit them for bringing in guys like Willie Roaf, or developing undrafted guys like Waters. It's kind of silly to say it doesn't matter unless we drafted that guy. What matters is if, in any given year, we have a good offensive line or not.

Yeah, and it also cuts down on the opportunities to draft and develop large numbers of guys when you are so successful at getting guys who are good for a long time. The Chiefs have had a fantastic offensive line for a good portion of Carl's 19 year reign and he and the rest of his coaches and staff deserve some credit for that.

We had an excellent O line during the Marty, Gunther and DV eras. This is the first time in Carl's history with the Chiefs that we have had a horrible O line. Clearly drafting isn't the only way to get a good offensive line.

Wow. You've gone way back before Carl was here. I'd say more than half of those are from the 80's.

Lutz, Graham, and Riley were all productive starters for us. And Jerry Ostroski and Jay Leeuwenberg were starters for Buffalo and Washington for quite awhile in the 90's.

One Way Tom Barndt would have been the greatest guard in NFL history had he not died of syphilis after banging half the whores in Oakland.
