Fav Current Chief?

On a team full of suck, who is your favorite current Chiefs player?

I would have to say mine is Derrick Johnson. He is always classy, and he has some great games. Yes, he disappears every once in awhile but for some reason I just really like the guy. Besides a few no-shows, he has been lights out since Haley benched him.

Silock 11-15-2012 08:07 AM

Jamal. Runs. His. Ass. Off.

Reerun_KC 11-15-2012 08:07 AM

None.

King_Chief_Fan 11-15-2012 08:07 AM

Erik Berry

BoneKrusher 11-15-2012 08:08 AM

Charles on offense

or

Houston on Defense.

can't really make up my mind.

Chief Roundup 11-15-2012 08:08 AM

Houston

InChiefsHeaven 11-15-2012 08:12 AM

I actually have a lot of them, in no particular order:

DJ - goes without saying I think.
Houston - young up and comer with a big motor. Even Gruden said on MNF that this guy is going to become a well known linebacker.
Hali - Love the guy
Berry - young and humble, and he kicks MF'n ass.
Bowe - That's right. Bowe. **** the haters.
Jamal - could be one of the best backs ever. Hope he doesn't get broken before this team gets fixed.

QuikSsurfer 11-15-2012 08:15 AM

Brandon Flowers

okoye35chiefs 11-15-2012 08:16 AM

if I had to buy a jersey today I would get DJ

UK_Chief 11-15-2012 08:20 AM

Ryan Simms

Steron 11-15-2012 08:21 AM

Offense - Charles, I guess.

Defense - DJ (I have his first round pick autographed jersey hanging in my house)

suds79 11-15-2012 08:21 AM

Dustin Colquitt. :p

That's how I am with Tamba. I usually buy a jersey when I know the guy is gonna finish with the Chiefs. Last one I bought was Will Shields. Need another, but I'm not buying anything Chiefs until this bullshit GM is gone. But my next one will in all likelihood be Tamba.

Same here. Usually the only two I rock these days is DT or Montana. It will take a while before I give money to this team again.

I own several. Montana, DT, DJ, Gonzo, LJ. I rarely wear a jersey anymore for any sport but I think I would wear DT or DJ if I had to choose.

Pioli: 0/ lifetime

Edit: I'm taking Berry and Houston from him. He had Berry fall into his lap and Houston was a wide eyed steal in the third.

Next would probalby be DJ

BlackHelicopters 11-15-2012 09:29 AM

Cassel. Next thread.

Brandon Siler. Duh.

I'm going stick with my boy Justin Houston.

My favorite play so far this year is the Houston & Hali taking out Ben Rothlessburger sammwich.

Chiefs Pantalones 11-15-2012 09:49 AM

Berry. Dude is gonna be on an elite level soon.

Hey now, I wouldn't bring up Okoye name too often around here. There are still some folk butthurt over not getting their autograph picture in the mail.

Threads like this make me sad.

This team has talent. If coached right I think it could be very good one day

I love our offensive line. Albert, Asamoa, Allen, and Winston is an awesome core. Hell our young center is down and Lilja is filling in well.

Jamal Charles running behind them is awesome.

Our WR's and TE's are hard to judge with our QB situation, but Bowe is a stud, and Baldwin and Moeaki have potential.

On defense Houston, Hali, and DJ are all studs. Flowers and Berry are studs.

Hell, I even enjoyed watching Arenas starting last week.

Fact is there is a lot of positions on this team that don't need to be upgraded. Some of the ones that do need improvement don't require big money FA's or top draft picks. Its sad how much coaching and the QB position holds this team back

patteeu 11-15-2012 10:22 AM

Derrick Johnson. He's been my favorite since the day he was drafted.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-15-2012 10:22 AM

Love watching Charles run too.

On a side note: The team ran a few successful bootlegs early on against Pitt and then scrapped them completely. WTF?

Chief_For_Life58 11-15-2012 10:23 AM

jake oconnel or mcmidget. maybe erica winston

Aspengc8 11-15-2012 10:24 AM

Eachus. #1 fullback that can't block worth a damn.

Chief_For_Life58 11-15-2012 10:24 AM

jamal charles is our best player and if he had a qb that could throw it downfield he would be contending for the rushing record every damn year

InChiefsHeaven 11-15-2012 10:25 AM

I don't know how I've seen some Eric Berry votes.

Agree he has the potential to be great but until now I think he's disappointed.

He's a liability in man coverage. Cannot cover a TE to save his life.

I don't know if the next coaching staff needs to run him in zone more or let him patrol the middle of the field or what but he cannot cover in 1 on 1 from what I've seen... That goes back to his rookie year.

hes just always got war paint in the back of his mind thinking it might run on the field and start licking him to death so hes always playing scared now since hes been in kc. poor lil guy

Heh, I doubt they even make those…but I am curious if any fans still rock a Cassel Jersey? Anyone seen one at a game recently?

I do, only because it gets me out of the suit at work and I refuse to spend another dime on the team until Pioli is gone.

I know this is some kind of joke, but honestly you bring the IQ of this board down about 30 points JUST with your posts.

Jamaal Charles. The guy plays his heart out.

It's sad how many people really enjoy Eric Berry, even though he's had a really bad season.
That's how bad this team is.

Charles and DJ

I was always a DJ fan dating back to his Texas days.

I was excited as hell when he fell to us in the 05 draft. It's great to finally see him play like a badass because the first part of his career he was a bust.

I've said this before. Pioli's neutering these guys into robots has made us less interested in our players. Even when we were winning, we just weren't fans of the players like we once were. And we wonder why our team lacks leaders. You can't be a leader if you're always having to watch your step.

DJ or Branden Albert

Albert because like Carr, we have watched him progress from not so good to reach his potential in becoming a top player at his position. And I mean, on so many bad teams, that's all you can do is cheer an individual on who clearly gets better every season.

I'm sure they will let him walk, like Carr, because this franchise is shit
