Fav Current Chief?
On a team full of suck, who is your favorite current Chiefs player?
I would have to say mine is Derrick Johnson. He is always classy, and he has some great games. Yes, he disappears every once in awhile but for some reason I just really like the guy. Besides a few no-shows, he has been lights out since Haley benched him. |
Jamal. Runs. His. Ass. Off.
|
None.
|
Erik Berry
|
Charles on offense
or Houston on Defense. can't really make up my mind. |
Houston
|
I actually have a lot of them, in no particular order:
DJ - goes without saying I think. Houston - young up and comer with a big motor. Even Gruden said on MNF that this guy is going to become a well known linebacker. Hali - Love the guy Berry - young and humble, and he kicks MF'n ass. Bowe - That's right. Bowe. **** the haters. Jamal - could be one of the best backs ever. Hope he doesn't get broken before this team gets fixed. |
Brandon Flowers
|
if I had to buy a jersey today I would get DJ
|
Ryan Simms
|
Offense - Charles, I guess.
Defense - DJ (I have his first round pick autographed jersey hanging in my house) |
Dustin Colquitt. :p

Edit: I'm taking Berry and Houston from him. He had Berry fall into his lap and Houston was a wide eyed steal in the third. |
Ropati Pitoitua
|
Sorry, I missed Okoye on my list. I will rock that one once in a while...
Love it when people are like "who"... wtf? |
Eric Berry
|
Probably Flowers.
If I were to buy a jersey, I would probably be his. Next would probalby be DJ |
Cassel. Next thread.
|
Brandon Siler. Duh.
|
I'm going stick with my boy Justin Houston.
My favorite play so far this year is the Houston & Hali taking out Ben Rothlessburger sammwich. |
Berry. Dude is gonna be on an elite level soon.

Threads like this make me sad.
This team has talent. If coached right I think it could be very good one day I love our offensive line. Albert, Asamoa, Allen, and Winston is an awesome core. Hell our young center is down and Lilja is filling in well. Jamal Charles running behind them is awesome. Our WR's and TE's are hard to judge with our QB situation, but Bowe is a stud, and Baldwin and Moeaki have potential. On defense Houston, Hali, and DJ are all studs. Flowers and Berry are studs. Hell, I even enjoyed watching Arenas starting last week. Fact is there is a lot of positions on this team that don't need to be upgraded. Some of the ones that do need improvement don't require big money FA's or top draft picks. Its sad how much coaching and the QB position holds this team back |
Derrick Johnson. He's been my favorite since the day he was drafted.
|
Love watching Charles run too.
On a side note: The team ran a few successful bootlegs early on against Pitt and then scrapped them completely. WTF? |
jake oconnel or mcmidget. maybe erica winston
|
Eachus. #1 fullback that can't block worth a damn.
|
jamal charles is our best player and if he had a qb that could throw it downfield he would be contending for the rushing record every damn year
|
Hmmm...three pages and no McCluster....iiiiiinteresting....
|
Matt Cassel. He's our leader.

I don't know how I've seen some Eric Berry votes.
Agree he has the potential to be great but until now I think he's disappointed. He's a liability in man coverage. Cannot cover a TE to save his life. I don't know if the next coaching staff needs to run him in zone more or let him patrol the middle of the field or what but he cannot cover in 1 on 1 from what I've seen... That goes back to his rookie year. |

Jamaal Charles. The guy plays his heart out.

It's sad how many people really enjoy Eric Berry, even though he's had a really bad season.
That's how bad this team is. |

Cassel, he is forcing the FO to draft a 1st round top 3 QB.

If i was going to start another team and was allowed to steal one guy from KC to help get started?
Way too easy, its Charles, the high character home run hitter. |

Charles and DJ
I was always a DJ fan dating back to his Texas days. I was excited as hell when he fell to us in the 05 draft. It's great to finally see him play like a badass because the first part of his career he was a bust. |
DJ, guy plays hard even when the rest of the team doesn't necessarily.
|
Terrance Copper.
I just want to be different. |
Geno Smith.
|
I know you asked for one but for me Jamaal Charles, Brandon Flowers, Derrick Johnson, Dustin Colquitt, Tamba Hali, and Justin Houston. I also like Steve Maneri as a sleeper player.

I've said this before. Pioli's neutering these guys into robots has made us less interested in our players. Even when we were winning, we just weren't fans of the players like we once were. And we wonder why our team lacks leaders. You can't be a leader if you're always having to watch your step.
|
Eric Berry, Justin Houston, Brandon Flowers, and Jamaal Charles.
|
Gabe Miller
Oh, wait... Sabby Piscatelli Darn Ummm, nevermind. *looks into crystal ball for next draft* Jordan Poyer |
Geno Smith
|
DJ
He has class and heart. |
Cassel by a longshot
|
Tamba.
Love that guy. |
Tamba. He is the epitome of class and he never gives up.
|
DJ or Branden Albert
Albert because like Carr, we have watched him progress from not so good to reach his potential in becoming a top player at his position. And I mean, on so many bad teams, that's all you can do is cheer an individual on who clearly gets better every season. I'm sure they will let him walk, like Carr, because this franchise is shit |
I'm really looking forward to putting together a Houston video, so Houston.
|
c'mon L.A. Chieffan!!! don't disappoint here.
