I'm guessing that's why you didn't quote the post, since the point of this post was just to mischaracterize what I said.

In all likelihood you're 3 wins away from winning it all, given Ohio State needs to lose. It's a joke that Alabama is now out which shows college football is dumb but if you really face FSU (a certainty to be there) and win? Entirely deserved national title. You'll be 7-10pt dogs in that one but anything can happen.

Not sure what the sec comment means, I haven't seen or heard from a single KU fan they were "jealous" of not being there. But I do recall some saying you'd never get invited.

Some ku fans claimed that we'd NEVER win in the SEC. NEVER. Think about how stupid that is. Well, we've already won the SEC East and have a shot at the conference title.

I'm one of them, I'll admit. I also believe MU will struggle over the long term, although I never believed they wouldn't compete with all the dogs in that league either like some did.

So...

On Saturday...

Mizzou or Auburn will win the SEC

Baylor could win the Big 12

Michigan State could win the B1G

Duke could win the ACC

Arizona State could win the PAC

Interesting times we live in...

Michigan State & Auburn have plenty of history and have won their share over the years. But the rest of that um......ya. Also Stanford not mentioned has 3 conf titles in the last 4 decades so they aren't exactly a regular.

If Kstate can win a league title anything is possible although some things improbable.

If ohio state were to lose and Mizzou were to beat auburn then the nc game would be Florida st. Vs bama

Shafted but likely

I don't think so, we'd get a good boost beating Aub while Bammer sits at home & remember they aren't ahead of us by much. Plus if we win as SEC champs the talk can easily turn to dismissing our one loss as it was w/ a backup QB who's no longer starting & resulted from a missed FG in double OT against a top 10 conference opponent.

We didn't get exposed like Clemson, Stanford and/or Oregon did or take a dump against Notre Dame like Arizona State & Michigan State.

I think Alabama's done nationally this year unless both OSU & Fla St lose which is highly improbable. Basically it's not going to happen.

It's not like Alabama got "blown out" in their lone loss.

You can't dismiss what Alabama has done the entire year. It will probably come down to voters and unfortunately I agree with Elder. I think Alabama would get a slight nod.

That being said I don't think OSU or FSU are losing.

It's not a matter of dismissing them one way or the other but factoring in what I figure would be the boost Mizzou would get beating Aub while Rammer Jammer sits at home relative to the current lead they have in the BCS Standings over us.

That is also not to dismiss your or TE's opinion as I'm just taking an educated guess based on where things are at the moment. It could play out as you think as well.

OSU could lose. That wouldn't necessarily surprise me that much although I don't really think they will. If Fla St loses I'll be flat out shocked just like the rest of the free world.

Alabama isn't getting the nod over whoever wins the SEC Championship.

Eleazar 12-04-2013 08:21 AM

I guess it's theoretically possible, because the national championship is between whomever is #1 and #2 in the BCS standings, that the SEC champion could not go and another SEC team would go. But Alabama is already behind Auburn, and Missouri only needs .01 to jump Alabama, which certainly they would get if they won on Saturday.

The idea that Alabama would jump both the SEC champion and the SEC runner-up is an idea that, as Zach said, only appears on Chiefsplanet.

'Hamas' Jenkins 12-04-2013 08:48 AM

Jesus ****ing Christ people are stupid. Alabama is not getting the nod over Missouri if Missouri wins the SECCG.

Prison Bitch 12-04-2013 08:54 AM

I know there's tremendous Alabama fatigue in the country but any voter who really puts anyone over them for the 2 spot is a fool. Both they an FSU would be 7-10 point favorites over everyone else. Wasn't the BCS supposed to put the top two teams in the finale?

I think Kansas fans have had a chip on their shoulder throughout this realignment saga about their rival being chosen over them. Evidence the thousands of naysaying posts in our three realignment threads. Why are at least half the posts from Kansas fans, when Kansas was never a factor in realignment at all?

I think it stings that Kansas had one successful football season but the program sank back to its previous level, and then realignment comes along and football drives the whole thing, and it brings thoughts of what might have been.

Jealous isn't a moral judgement. It's just an assessment of what motivates all the naysaying. There is a hope that it will be proved that Missouri was not deserving of the promotion - if we didn't receive a certain honor, it will make us feel better if the one who did get it fails.
