I don't know how long it will be. IIRC, if they still make movies they hang onto them, I'm pretty sure that's why they made a new one last year.

yep....Sony and FOX will continue to reboot Spiderman and XMen over and over and over again because they dont want to lose the rights. If they keep making money, then they are valuable.

I still think a ROM movie would be cool.

However, it's old enough that there probably isn't a big enough audience. :(

Sounds like Antman will will played by Paul Rudd, and Janet Van Dyke (Wasp) will be played by Rashida Jones.

I can't believe they are going to go the antman route. Paul Rudd?

JGL is the other choice.

It's not set in stone.

Ant Man is Phase 2.

Aries Walker 10-24-2013 09:29 PM

Actually Phase 3. It's the first one slated after Avengers 2.

Personally I think Antman on the bigscreen just won't work but between the two, they should go with JGL.

I love the casting, especially Rashida Jones. She's perfect as Jan.

Oh, my bad. I keep getting confused with all this stuff.

Yeah, I'm not sure how a miniaturized man fits but Marvel movies through Disney have been gold.

Depending how they play him. Stark smart. Controls bugs? Shrinks and grows.

Hopefully not campy.

It's Edgar Wright's baby, so I'd expect some campiness

Hank Pym is a fairly dark character in the comics, with a lot of personal demons. I'm thinking that by casting Paul Rudd, it's a sign that they're going to try to inject a little levity into him, so that he might even smile once or twice. Hopefully, they don't go too crazy and make him a Ryan Reynolds-like constant wisecracker, but I can't fault them for making Pym be a little less uptight all the time.

The latest is that the original drafts were more in the genre of "heist" type films, which would be a different tone than the other Marvel films.

Edgar Wright is "Shaun of the Dead", so I expect it to be off-center in nature.
