What about that defense? Is it going to change from a 5 pro-bowl (snicker) 3-4 to 4-3?

I really hope it doesn't.

Realistically, our personnel is no worse off than it was when Elway came aboard for Denver. Elway found a large amount of success keeping over half of the previous core guys in place, and then filling in around the edges with some big time draft hits (namely Miller and Wolfe).

We're at a much better position talent-wise than you guys were after McDaniels was ditched. There's no reason why our 5 Pro Bowl player defense can't crack some skulls together hardcore as soon as they find a new starting CB and one or two upgrades in the front seven.

Scheme is going to be the key. And that has to come from a good defensive coordinator. Denver found theirs. If we find ours, we're back to raping midgets on defense.

Our 2010 defense was putrid. Champ was literally the only good player. Amazing what was accomplished in 2 years.

You guys can't (or at least shouldn't) spend your super high pick on D, though, like we did.

I know I've read your dumbass say that Cam was going to fail because he is a spread QB and he's overrated.

And now you're doing the same bullshit with Geno.

Cute.

He's been banged up for most of. Had a monster playoff last year.

Yeah, he had the same number of sacks and forced fumbles in one playoff game last season as he has had in all 12 games he's played in this season. I don't think he was injured the first 10 games of the season though, was he?

Happy two-year anniversary, John Elway

To think that two years ago today, the football nation wondered: Would John Elway become the next Matt Millen?

Uh, that would be a resounding, no.

Prior to this day two years ago, the Broncos were arguably at their lowest point in franchise history. They were coming off a 4-12 record and, worse, the Broncos’ fan base was bitter, irate, disgusted about their previous coach, Josh McDaniels.

Faith in Broncos owner Pat Bowlen was at all-time low, in no small part because he had made the unfortunate decision to hire McDaniels.

But Bowlen righted his franchise two years ago today by hiring John Elway to take over his team.
