How much did you spend on your Christmas tree?
I dropped 125 this year, that’s the most I’ve spent (outside Hawaii) for a tree. These holidays are getting rather expensive.

I have a 2 foot fake one that I bought 9 years ago. It's still doing the trick.
|
Whut?

$0 as we are using the same one as last year.
|
Nada. A crap, that's a lie. I think we picked up a secondary tree at a thrift store for $7.
|
We spent $50 at Home Depot.
Let me break that down: Tree: $2 Taxes to support the welfare state of Taxifornia: $48. Seriously, $50. |
$300 last year, but it's a fake one. I have no desire to mess with real trees, and our living room has a 15' vaulted ceiling, so the little tiny ones looked pretty silly in there.
Hopefully I won't have to buy another tree for a decade or so. |
0, nadda. We haven't put up a tree in 15 years, and no decorations at all this year.
It is just us, and we always go back to Wichita for the Holidays, so we don't bother. When we had kids at home, we decorated to the limit, then it tapered down over the years to the current, nothing. :D |
$70. And we have a fake one, too
|
$5 for a tree permit.
ETA: We have a fake tree but the wife and kids like going out into the woods to get a real one, so the fake one stays in the attic. |

$60.....2 years ago for a fake tree.
|
$34 for a real one only because I can't stand trees made out of toilet bowl cleaning brushes.

We bought a fake one a few years ago, day after Christmas - it was like 75% off or something... great looking tree for about $40. We use it each year, but every other year when we have Christmas at our house and not traveling, we'll buy a big tree and spend a chunk on it. The kids love it and the wife likes it...
I think we spent about $170 last year on the Griswold tree that we found. So, we do that every other year... |

$29 for an 8 ft pre-lit about 5 years ago.
After-christmas sales kick ass. |
On our holiday tree? I think about $400.00 a few years ago.

Nah he has a bunch of land and a small tree farm. |
i don't know what she spent on them, but we have 1 in the dining room, one in my office(she moved all my arrowheads and put up f@ckin decorations:mad:) and one in the basement.
the first year we were married, i cut a cedar tree out of a fence row and just leaned it against the wall in the living room of our rented trailer. after that year, she took over the decorating. sec |
dont mess with secs arrowheads !

You don't have to break an ankle putting it back in the attic. (my wife really did that) But with children, it is a fun thing to do together, and enjoy together. Mine still talk about those big bulbed blue lights I used to trim the entire house with each year. |

The LED lights are lot better now than even a couple of years ago. I really like them, especially on the tree, since they don't get hot.

About 30 dollars for an 8 foot noble fir. Oh had a 5 dollar off coupon so 25. But that is because I live in Oregon where they grow the majority of the xmas trees.

Some of these goofballs even go crazy with Halloween decorations! One neighbor still had a coffin out in the front yard, after he had already put out his Christmas spread. Where in the heck does he store all that crap? Quote:
If our grandsons would visit this time of year, I would be in the same position as sec. Yes Dear! Hopefully, someday our decorations will be considered antiques, and we will be in the dough. |

Umbrella tree. It literally unfold like an umbrella in 3 piece with the lights already on it
|
I knew a woman that put a tree in every room of the house with different themes.
|
I dropped 25 on a fake. It looks like crap but it's got presents under it so the kids are cool. First time I've ever had to coordinate a Christmas. We call it mutt.

Nada
The folks gave me their fake tree so they could get a bigger one for their new house. If I wanted a real one, I'd just head out to one of the three mountain ranges surrounding here. |
NOT ONE PENNY!!!
Just stopped along side of the highway and stole it like a good little Raider fan.:D Danm you Chiefs are stunned ....:p |
I took the fake one my neighbor threw out last year so I paid zero.
