Oops... Guess not.

From NFLSCOOP: Trev, will Gunther Cunningham revert back to grind-it-out football or let Grbac air it out again this week?

Trev Alberts: Scoop! I think to give them a chance with their current personnel, they need to go back to the grind-it-out way. Elvis Grbac is dependant upon a good run game to get play-action.

That's what an expert who hasn't watched this team play once (this year) might assume. However, without Szott and a decent tailback we are a team that tries to set up the run by throwing the ball. I think it's funny how few of these experts know as much as the true fan.

Dole you're really posting tonight!

Bob Dole is generating a lot of stuff for some reason.

Bob Dole thinks it's a combination of the team winning a game they had every chance of winning, and the fact that none of the national media--NONE--picked KC to even have a chance.

Bob Dole felt this team had the potential to be something very good after week one, and even more so after week two. Even after taking one of the media's owm darlings to OT and losing not because of the player's performance, but the coaching staff's inept coaching in Tennessee, the team hasn't gotten squat in the way of recognition or respect. We completely step out of the mold in week the against San Diego, and it's discounted completely because it's against San Diego.

Then we play the 3rd team this season that the media has placed on a pedistal, in their house, and put it to them despite some crap, and if it gets any mention at all, it'll probably be that Denver had a hiccup and KC snuck out of Denver with a victory.

News flash, national media morons: The amazing Mike Shanahan designed, Gary Kubiak playcalled, best offensive line in the world because they're so quick and athletic a bagboy from the local market could be a 1000 yard rusher, look at those running backs how do they find them, boy aren't they back in Super Bowl form, if my nose is any farther up Shanahan's a$$ I won't be able to breathe Denver Broncos scored ONE offensive touchdown. One. And that was on a drive that only existed because the worst damned call Bob Dole has ever seen took away a turnover. One touchdown. Wow.

All that, and KC will probably still be the dog next Monday against Seattle because the stupid "experts" don't want to admit that maybe KC does have some talent and heart.

And it pisses Bob Dole off to no end.

Duck Dog 09-24-2000 10:48 PM

But how do you really feel Bob?

Bob Dole feels fully vented at the moment.

ColoradoChief 09-24-2000 10:55 PM

Bob Dole's post are making me feel so much less bitter about all the crap I have heard. You should read on the other BB what the Donx players said about us, mostly Anderson.

Buzzbait 09-24-2000 10:57 PM

Dole, you're killing me tonight! It is annoying but the National folks don't see any superstars on this team and just don't expect them to be around at the end of the season. I think we've played four really good football games with our youth getting a lot of playing time. If we were 3-1 we'd get some pub but 2-2 we are still on the fringe. After we put away Seattle, we'd have a 3 game winning streak which may get us noticed.

Dole - If it makes you feel any better we had to turn the TV sound off because we just couldn't handle the announcer saying how great the Rat and the team was, and how everything they did was just bloody brilliant and... Yeah, I still feel a weird urge to hurt him.

AustinChief 09-24-2000 11:18 PM

Bob Dole is glad he couldn't hear any of it, then. It was bad enough listening to the pack of Denver fans (about 15) when there was only Bob Dole and another couple pulling for the Chiefs.

Was pretty nice to just give 'em all a Mile High Salute and silently walk out of the bar as time expired, though.

DIEHARDCHIEF 09-25-2000 07:14 AM

Bob Dole
Early line is Chiefs by 4.5. They already showed lines for next week at the bottom of the screen during Sportscenter after the Sunday night game.

Spott 09-25-2000 08:18 AM

Bob, shhh, relax dude. I want the media, the public, the experts, algore, Bush, and Saddam, and everyone else in the known universe to dis us.

I like this 'me against the world' attitude we're developing. Let'em call us the dog for every game we play. If we think our backs are against the wall, maybe we'll fight like cornered animals. So far, so good.

Snapper 09-25-2000 09:10 AM

I actually like the Chiefs being the underdogs. I think they play better when they are the dogs, and not worth a shiatte when they are supposed to whack a team.

I tend to root for the dog...

I'm GLAD we don't have a *insert overpriced loudmouthed doodahh here*(keyshawn etc..) to bring the media coverage and resentment of oponents.
