Avast is still good, although it's getting bloated too.

I'm still using a combination of Avast and SpyBot with the occasional run of malwarebytes. Seems fine.

Thanks for an honest answer. I am just in a bind with a new laptop, and wondered if I can cover it for low $. I don't give a **** what worked 2 years ago.

Avast is hands down the best free virus protection out there. Turn off sounds. It has voiceover shit that will wake you up in the middle of the night~

DaFace 09-11-2013 11:14 PM

Even MSE is pretty decent these days.

Shaid 09-11-2013 11:15 PM

I've been using iSafe lately because it does other performance increasing tasks. Like it quite a bit.

Agreed, but it is getting rather bloated with crap I don't like. It was better 2 years ago.

DING! AVAST VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED

ROFL

unlurking 09-12-2013 07:11 AM

Yeah, avast user here too. The bloat is pretty bad. At least you can go in and disable or configure the annoyance away.

Here - http://www.av-test.org/en/tests/home...7/mayjun-2013/

Both AVG and AVAST free rate pretty good, with Avast having a slight edge in this test. PCMag tests gave the edge to AVG recently I think. Based on this link, MSE is a joke...didn't realize it was that bad :/

Here, let me bump this for you. Because you're a unique little snowflake that can't be bothered using existing threads. Even when they are stickied. I'm sure whatever problems you have are distinct and important enough to constantly merit special treatment. ****bag.

Thanks for being a prick, it is always appreciated. Thanks for the help to the good bros. And let me ask you this, how does me starting a new thread bother you when there is one for every TV show, game, movie, etc?

Go back to the Mane anyway if you can't act right.
