It's good to be an NFL owner (and founder of Microsoft). We went to eat today at Gordon Biersch in Honolulu, which is at Aloha Tower right on Honolulu Harbor. I took these pictures of a yacht docked there, then when I got home did some googling and found out it belongs to Paul Allen. Note the helicopter on the back. I guess he is here for the Pro Bowl, even though none of his players are playing in it.

He also owns the Trailblazers who are the 4th or 5th best team in the NBA.


He really is living the life.

He's really a very good owner. The Seahawks were a pretty blah organization before his ownership.

Maybe he has different sizes to choose from, like me deciding whether I'll take the car or SUV today. :D

I could have sworn Pat Bateman killed Paul Allen

To be fair, he didn't make his money in the NFL. The point is well proved though. However you get there, owning an NFL franchise means you've got a lot of money to burn.

Why would Paul Allen fly a British flag?

Probably registered on some island in the Caribbean for tax reasons.

There is also an American flag on top. You can see it in the first picture.

Most cruise ships are registered in other countries even if they are American owned. For tax purposes, as already mentioned.
