Planet Comicon - Kansas City - April 6th and 7th
 

I am sure I will get harassed on here for posting this, but for those of you with no plans this weekend, Bartle hall will be hosting "Planet Comicon".

There will be a lot of cool celebrities there, and you'll get another chance to see my R2 in person, as well as a few other local R2s!

I havent been to one of these in ages. Looks like a pretty solid lineup of genre celebs.

I'd go just to hear Peter Mayhew make the Chewbacca growl

I went to one of the San Diego comicons when I lived there. You do see a lot of the uberdorks but I also remember they had models dressed in superhero costumes to promote movies and other things. That was pretty cool.

I'm pretty steeped in nerd culture myself, so I know there are hot, freaky geeks out there... but some of those chicks are paid models.

Well make sure you stop by the R2 builders.....I will be there all weekend. We're actually right next to the celebrities.
