AJ Klein and Jake Knott are the same player. We should try to get one of them to play ILB.

Offensive line play is very rarely "good" in these games. OL play is about continuity - really not possible in is setting.

I'm sold on AJ Klein. He looks like ISU's version of Pat Angerer to me. Hopefully we could get him with our 3rd round pick. (Maybe our compensatory one, assuming we get one for Carr.)
I also found the writeup on Devin Taylor interesting. The knock on him is that he's rigid in his hips and doesn't have that burst. That wouldn't concern me about him being a 3-4 DE. He's massive, strong, and has shown the ability to get good push. He's pretty much ignored at SC due to the presence of Clowney, but I think he'd be a good pick in the middle of the draft. |
I said this in another thread, but AJ Klein and Jake Knott are basically the same player. Knott might be slightly better, but hes also more injury prone. But he ALWAYS plays through the injurys, last year in a game he had his shoulder pop out of place twice and both times a teammate on the field helped him pop it back in. He cut his season short this year though to have surgery on it so hes ready for the NFL, where as last year he played through the season before having surgery. Hes also played with a broken arm, and that was the arm he used to deflect that pass against Oklahoma State which led to us upsetting them.

AJ Klein - if he falls to the fifth.

I just think this draft has more depth than that. There will be many more appealing options in the third and fourth rounds than Klein, at least where we are picking. JMO. Not saying he won't go in the fourth, though.
