Oh well.

wonder what the jets get now

He was so young to resign. Especially after his 130 tackle year. Went out on top like Barry.

Everyone knew this would happen.

If the Saints signed him before the start of free agency, they would have had to surrender a first to the Jets.

Smart move.

Yep, they needed to wait til midnight to sign him to keep from having to give up their first.

I think it means the Saints have to give up a 3rd or something.

There's a guy I wouldn't have minded having if we are going to be a 3-4 now, depending on how much his contract was worth. Although I guess the price shouldn't bother me, we have over 50 million and as of right now only future draft picks to spend it on. I get not going after big name FA's, they command high dollar contracts and often don't produce at a high level. I think the past two years though shows what happens when you go after the likes of Devard Darling, Demorrio Williams, and a way past his prime Ty Law.

Why do they owe the Jets any picks? He played for the Saints last year.

trade stipulation

this obviously means pioli will draft a secondary position player in the 4th or 5th round. couldn't be more clear

Vilma sucks in the 3-4
