Coach Charlie Spoonhour passes away
 

If you grew up near Springfield during the 90s you may remember Coach Charlie Spoonhour and the SMSU Bears basketball team. He passed away. There was a clip of him on KY3 tonight telling a funny story about a relative of mine who he coached in high school baseball way back when.

RIP.

Leave it to a Raiders fan to bring up last year's news.

In February. KY3 was kind of doing a year-in-review type of thing. Part of it was local personalities that we lost this year. Spoonhour was a big part of SMSU (before it was MSU) basketball before going to St. Louis.

He thinks the world revolves around him. He didn't know who it was, so he thinks no one should care.

maybe he thinks the John Goodman schtick is getting old?

It happened this year.

I met spoon several times when I interviewed him. Some of me and the wife's first dates were at Bear's games. Pleasant memories.

Spoons Temple of Doom!!! Watched the first NIT runs in grade school. Guy was the the cornerstone for M.S. bb. Rip coach.
