Really though, there is a lot of neat shit around there. On top of what the others have said, the Royal Gorge is a nice area, on the way to the gorge there is a Skyline drive that will scare the piss out of you way more than the pikes peak drive.

Pretty neat place.

(And you could stop by and see the Buehler.

It seems like nobody can agree on anything in here. It may come to crashing on your couch. LMAO

I think the main takeaway is...there are a shit ton of fun towns in Colorado. Take your pick. You'll probably have a good time regardless.

Estes Park is my vote. See if "Ramshorn" has any availability. EXTREMELY nice two bedroom loghome style condos. It has all the amenities with three-four hot tubs to sit outside and enjoy the mountain air. Wildlife will literally be in your condos backyard. You are right on the foothill of Rocky Mtn National Park, and a stones throw away from some very unique restaurants. My wife and I go every year for a romantic getaway. There's not a ton of nightlife, but if you don't mind driving 30-45 minutes, you can definitely have that while staying in Estes. You can't go wrong.

It has been mentioned multiple times, but Fort Collins is an amazing time. Multiple local breweries to visit, great atmosphere in old town, great people, and an hour drive (roughly) form Denver. This makes it perfect distance to visit Denver during the day and then escape there at night.

I've got a guest bedroom.

Was this a surprise to you or something?

All mentioned are wonderful spots. I'd encourage Estes despite the lack of nightlife (which doesn't seem to be an issue). There are spots in the park you can ski from and personally, there isn't a more wonderful place in the US to spend time.

BTW, if you do indeed select Estes, let me know via PM. I have some recommendations.
