Interesting. Haven't heard of many good Orange replicas. Not even the Orange remakes.

It's not an actual amp, it's a computer program. It sounds pretty good for $80, considering a small 50W Orange is like a grand.

I dig it! 80's metal with serious edge. Look like they'd be fun to see live. I must look them up.

They remind me of Rainbow.

Their sound reminds me of The Hellacopters. A band I've enjoyed for quite some time.

I know we have some Windhand fans here. Looks like they are putting together some Midwest dates in March. They are playing a BYOB show in the West Bottoms on 3/08.

KC homies Keef Mountain are playing the show.

That's really not half bad, those guys have potential... lets face it, its only a matter of time before 80's style rock makes a comeback, if the cycle goes as usual it should start happening any day now.

Maroon 5, Black Keys, Snow Patrol or whatever other stuff is going on now... that's just not gonna cut it forever, at some point people are gonna wanna ROCK again..

I wouldn't lump Black Keys in there with Maroon 5 and Snow Patrol. Some good heavy guitar rock is out there…just not necessarily 80s style metal. Black Keys, The Heavy, anything that Jack White is a part of, Black Motorcycle Club, etc.

There are remnants of the 80's metal SOUND everywhere. The problem is that, as the 80's came to a close, the "sound" became power ballads and the "music" became music videos of guys with girl hair.

80's commercial metal survives to this day in a great many bands that it influenced to varying degrees. Even some of these stoner bands were influenced by it (even if they won't admit it).

Honest to God, and maybe I shouldn't admit this... but I kinda liked this song.

All the while knowing that this band wasn't gonna last.
