penbrook 02-24-2013 07:47 PM

Unless the owner is in charge and scared of empty seats.

Direckshun 02-24-2013 07:47 PM

If we trade a 3rd for Alex Smith, I will rape a horse.

Browns will definitely give Weeden competition. They are looking to acquire veteran QB. Called about Alex Smith.

Hootie 02-24-2013 07:48 PM

do people really think 2012 Alex Smith couldn't have thrown for a 4000 yard season with 2003 Chiefs line, Vermeil/Saunders and Priest Holmes? Especially since 1700 of those yards were to Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez?

Maybe Trent Green > Alex Smith.

But it's still Trent Green >= Alex Smith >>>>>>>>>>> Matt Cassel.

I understand. It's depressing. The same old tune. We've seen it before. But realistically Alex Smith is a talented QB. If Jim Harbaugh was 100% the reason Alex Smith succeeded then why didn't Jim Harbaugh just pad up and run the miracle Jim Harbaugh offense himself?

ModSocks 02-24-2013 07:48 PM

Disgusting. ****ing gross.

I feel dirty and embarrassed just thinking about it.

Actually he's the greatest o-line prospect in the history of the universe and Albert isn't a person. Don't you watch NFL Network?!

There the ones that reported we had offered Bowe a 5/55.5

Alex Smith is better than Cassel, but he's not a long term answer. We don't have a roster ready to win so what's the ****ing point? You know what Alex Smith is at this point. Groom any young QB and take your bumps. If they don't extend him and draft someone else it's not horrible, but I don't see the ****ing point at all. Please don't be true.

Exoter175 02-24-2013 07:49 PM

Watching the combine results for QB's on NFL Network and reading through the numbers already posted, I'm actually getting pretty excited about the potential for this draft. If we can lock Alex Smith down with a 4th or even a 3rd, then draft Geno in the first (Yes I'm on that bus now) and get someone like Tavon Austin in the 2nd, we're going to be pretty much set offensively going into camp, and fill 3-7 with LB's and linemen fluff. I could see our free agency this season landing a QB and an ILB that will alleviate some of the talent holes we have. I hope it happens.

Could Cassel step in and do what Smith did in SF?

THIS BETTER NOT BE ****ING TRUE. I WILL HULK SMASH A STOLEN CAR INTO CLARK'S FRONT DOOR IF IT IS.
