Jesus Flacco pedestrian?? Did you see his playoff numbers? Their defense hasn't been the '00 defense the past couple years when the Ravens came close and got to the super bowl.

The Ravens simply signed him to one of the worst contracts in NFL history and it will play out.

He had them by the balls with that contract, they gave it to him, yet they still successfully had a really good offseason and might end up being better on defense next year.

When you get that guy, gotta keep him.

How many wins did Flacco get off his defense?

I mean that's the reason we dismiss Alex Smith right?

You are too ****ing stupid to see the double standard. Flacco was one of the worst playoff rated Qb's in NFL history before this season idiot.

It has nothing to do with time and everything to do with how you win in the league today. How many years ago or what is the definition of "recent" are both completely irrelevant.

He's also the perfect example of taking a "flawed" QB in the draft in the 1st and not be afraid of being called out for "reaching". I'm suuuuuuure they regret the "bad value" of reaching for him in the 1st that year.

Tom Brady proves that elite QBs don't have to come from the first round. Chill out.

you're comparing the Super Bowl MVP to Alex Smith, who was benched?

back to back AFC Championships and a Superbowl MVP is your definition of 'pedestrian'?

you stupid twat

you and justpassingby are the wonder twins of stupid

no wonder you clap like a reeruned seal when we sign backup QBs

Even with his flaws Alex wouldn't have been available if he had as many postseason appearances/wins as Joe has.

Goddamn this place is full of stupid.

Do you guys know Flacco's YPA and completion % were lower than Alex Smith's last year and it WASN'T CLOSE?

I am not stating that to tout Alex Smith, I am saying that to point out the absurdity of this ****ing place.

In 2012...

Flacco had 22 T'ds/10 interceptions and a ypa of 7.2 yards.

Alex Smith had 13 T'ds/5 interceptions and a ypa of 7.9 yards

Flacco, of course played in more games. Everyone calls Flacco great, but Smith "a game mgr."

The best thing about tomorrow night getting here is this thread will die a quick death.
