Brady Quinn, go on record

I'm laughing at the idiots proclaiming that this awful quarterback is going to be better than Cassel.

So go on record. Is he gonna be a good against the Bucs, or shitty, as he's always been?

ModSocks 10-10-2012 08:47 PM

Both?

O.city 10-10-2012 08:47 PM

How many games has he started?

L.A. Chieffan 10-10-2012 08:47 PM

Stud.

BoneKrusher 10-10-2012 08:47 PM

better than Cassel is good enough for now.

(baby steps)

Get your ass back on the Cassel bandwagon. Don't want you anywhere near Quinn or Stanzi.

hometeam 10-10-2012 08:49 PM

He is what he is. He will be better than Cassel, while pretty much sucking in general. Someone said it in another thread, It will be a different, more exciting kind of suck.

I would rather see Brady Quinn throw rocketball 35+ yard picks than see Cassel throw 4 yard balls behind the recievers that turn into picks.

Too late. Our salvation is here.

Bump 10-10-2012 08:50 PM

Quinn is a much better leader than Cassel and it's possible that receivers can now be hit in stride. He hasn't started in like 3 years, I'm thinking it's possible he's learned something and knows he can't **** up or he's out of the league.

I'm actually worried we are gonna win more games now.

RustShack 10-10-2012 08:51 PM

Franchise QB that saves Pioli's career and Cassel is released at the end of the year.

Better than Cassel. That's not saying much but nonetheless

Who the hell would like that guy? I sure as hell didnt.

O.city 10-10-2012 08:52 PM

Ok Clay, lets throw up Quinns stats thru his 14 starts against a guy you love in Freeman. I have no idea how it will turn out but lets check this out.

Yup...

Marcellus 10-10-2012 08:53 PM

You just cant keep from finding an apposing view on anything can you. Better than Cassel? Like that's a stretch?

You say you want a revolution then make a poll based on Quinn being better than Cassel. Who gives a ****. He will be better. How about will Quinn be THE guy?

You are shooting for the stars aren't you?

tk13 10-10-2012 08:53 PM

I feel better than I did when Palko was about to take over... I knew that was going to be a disaster. But he's going to have to go play better before I rank him ahead of Cassel. Yeah he throws a better ball than Cassel... he's a first round pick. But can he play the QB position successfully... we'll see.

Mr_Tomahawk 10-10-2012 08:54 PM

Define "good"

alpha_omega 10-10-2012 08:54 PM

Well, I would love to say good but from what I have seen and from what my friends in Cleveland say...most likely will suck.

But, can he really be a huge step down from Matt?

jd1020 10-10-2012 08:54 PM

Since this is a poll about Quinn vs Tampa, I'll say he'll suck. He hasn't taken a regular season snap in 3 years and there's going to be some rust.

O.city 10-10-2012 08:54 PM

What is Cassel better at than Quinn?

I'm not endorsing Quinn as he will probably suck, but to say he's not better than Cassel is wrong.

Why, so you can throw it in anyone and everyone's face if you're right?

**** you and your blow up doll.

jspchief 10-10-2012 08:56 PM

On a throw by throw basis I expect him to be better.

On a "product as a whole" basis, I don't think we'll see much change in the ability to win games.

I do think our offense will look better, assuming they let him pass more than 5 times per game.

Rasputin 10-10-2012 08:56 PM

Geno Smith or bust

DJ's left nut 10-10-2012 08:57 PM

He's a less accurate Kyle Orton with a stronger arm and less polish (due to lack of games started).

He'll be a below average NFL quarterback.

He'll still be better than Matt Cassel, or at least different enough in style of suck to make it tolerable.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-10-2012 08:57 PM

Even if he does play well it'll be "AWFUL PASS DEFENSE" herp derp

3 passes against a team that was facing a 5:1 run ratio before his entrance.

Rausch 10-10-2012 09:00 PM

Fewer that 25 attempts, 1 TD, 1 INT, 180 yards...

BossChief 10-10-2012 09:00 PM

****ing phone. I tried to click the third option and the page shifted and it gave me the second one.

I think Quinn goes for about 240 yards and 2/2 right at 60% completions.

He'll also face a defense that will game plan for his weaknesses. If not this week, then definitely next week.

L.A. Chieffan 10-10-2012 09:02 PM

Quinn has very few weaknesses other than lack of experience

BossChief 10-10-2012 09:07 PM

In two or three aye against Baltimore, he had us in the endzone.

I'm not trying to make it out to be more than it was, but the few passes he threw last week were better than nearly every pass he ever threw in Cleveland.

I just hope he plays well enough to keep Cassel on the bench when he can finally see in color again after that major concussion he suffered.

He won't have 150 yards.

mr. tegu 10-10-2012 09:08 PM

Quinn will be better. I am interested to see if has benefited from riding the bench. Even if being benched in Cleveland didn't motivate him, surely being behind Tebow would have. Maturity and paying his dues may have humbled him making him a more hard worker. Either way I'm excited. As I keep saying, it is ironic that the guy Pioli brought in as fake competition for Cassel is now what Pioli has to rely on to save his job (assuming he has any chance).

Here's the rub..was he riding pine in Denver because Tebow was really better or because Tebow sold more tickets?

LA is just trying to echo the "casual Chiefs fan" with every post.

When you argue against his points, consider yourself arguing against ALL CAPS DEB or something.

I can't believe anyone would bet against Quinn having over 150 yards. He will get that by halftime. Let's not forget, Tampa has the number one ranked rush defense and the 25th ranked pass defense. Perfect game for Quinn to come back.
