Whatever comes of this, it's nice to have Cassel held accountable for the first time in his career by upper management.

They may want to make him more palatable to other teams if they think they can get a pick for him.

I wouldn't mind him as a backup(I mean if it came down to it I wouldn't, but it's not my preference - though we do need a vet backup)...but not for anything more than $1-2M a year.
Cassel would be a horrible backup IMO.

He's never played in the WCO.

They should be targeted a WCO veteran this offseason.
